Cooktown

Cooktown feels like a real frontier town, with a real sense of early Australian history. It is so easy to imagine the Endeavour lying on the beach for repairs in the shadow of the same mountain which dominates the harbour today. It inspired me to read Cook’s journals & share his impressions of Cooktown.
